The User Preferences section allows each user to personalize their Oversai experience. From here, you can configure language, time zone, visual theme, and how you receive notifications.

Customizing these settings helps ensure that your workspace matches your workflow, your reporting reflects the correct time zone, and you stay informed about the events that matter most to you.

āš™ļø General Preferences

In this section, you can configure basic user settings that affect how Oversai appears and behaves for you. Go to: Settings → Preferences.

šŸ”¹ Language

Select your preferred platform language. This determines the language used across the Oversai interface.

šŸ”¹ Time Zone

Set your time zone so that reports, timestamps, and activity logs appear aligned with your local time.

This is especially important for:

  • Reviewing QA reports

  • Monitoring evaluations

  • Tracking coaching activities

  • Analyzing operational performance over time

šŸ”¹ Theme

Choose the visual style that works best for you:

  • Light Mode → Default bright interface

  • Dark Mode → Dark interface for reduced eye strain, especially in low-light environments

  • System → Automatically matches the theme configured in your operating system or browser. If your device is set to dark mode, Oversai will use dark mode as well; if it is set to light mode, Oversai will display the light theme.

šŸ”” Notification Preferences

In the Notifications tab, you can customize how and when you receive alerts related to activity in Oversai.

Each user can configure their preferred Default Channels:

  • Email → Notifications are sent to your registered email address

  • Push → Browser notifications that appear on the bottom-right corner of your screen

You can enable notifications for specific events depending on what information you want to track.

Available Notification Events

You may choose to receive notifications for events such as:

  • Evaluation disputed

  • New comment in evaluation

  • Evaluation completed

  • Evaluation updated

  • Evaluation signed

  • Coaching created

  • Coaching follow-up

  • Coaching ended

  • Bulk operation completed

  • observability.monitors.rules.breached

  • And additional system events depending on your permissions and configuration.

Simply toggle the notifications that are relevant to you.

āš ļø IMPORTANT:

  • When you enable web push notifications, you will see two pop-ups: one from your Chrome browser and another from the Oversai site. You need to allow both if you want to receive web push notifications.

Default Notification Behavior

By default, the notification bell in the Oversai Chrome extension will display notifications related to:

  • Manual QA (Human-in-the-loop evaluations)

  • Coaching activities

These alerts help ensure that evaluators, QA managers, and team leads stay informed about key quality and coaching updates.

Conclusion

User Preferences allow you to tailor Oversai to your personal workflow. By setting your language, time zone, and visual theme, you ensure a comfortable working environment, while customized notifications help you stay focused on the events that matter most.

We recommend reviewing your Notification Preferences to ensure you receive the updates that support your role in quality assurance, coaching, and operations.
