How Manual Evaluation Time is Calculated in Oversai

Oversai helps QA teams understand the time spent on manual evaluations so managers can track efficiency and workload across analysts. The platform automatically records the time spent during each evaluation through the Chrome extension.

How the Evaluation Timer Works

When performing manual QA through the Oversai Chrome extension, the timer behaves as follows:

  • The timer starts automatically when you begin a new evaluation in the extension.

  • If you leave the evaluation and return later, the timer will resume from the point where the draft was last saved.

  • Any edits or updates made during that time are counted as part of the evaluation handling time.

  • The timer ONLY stops when you click “Submit” or "Save Draft."

⚠️ Important Note:

If the extension is minimized but the evaluation remains open (without being saved as a draft or submitted), the timer will continue counting time.

Where to View Evaluation Time Reports

Managers can track evaluation performance and time metrics in:

Analytics → Reports → QA

There you will be able to see:

  • Average evaluation time

  • Average evaluation time per analyst

  • Average evaluation time by week

These insights help teams monitor productivity, identify coaching opportunities, and better understand QA workload across the organization.
